Backend Software Engineer | Build security for the AI era | Onsite in SF

We’re looking for Backend Software Engineers who enjoy building scalable systems and solving complex technical problems. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects from design through production, working across backend services, distributed systems, data-intensive applications, and infrastructure.

What You’ll Do
Design, build, and scale reliable backend systems and services
Own projects from technical design and implementation through deployment and ongoing improvement
Solve complex problems around performance, reliability, scalability, and distributed systems
Build systems that process large volumes of data and support growing user and product demands
Debug and optimize production systems and improve overall system reliability
Collaborate closely with other engineers and technical teams to make thoughtful architectural decisions
Contribute to technical direction, engineering best practices, and the long-term evolution of the platform
Work across the stack where needed and learn new technologies quickly
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development
Experience building and scaling production software
Strong programming skills in one or more backend languages such as Go, Python, Java, Rust, TypeScript, or similar
Strong understanding of software design, APIs, databases, and distributed systems
Experience working with cloud infrastructure and modern development environments
Comfortable debugging complex production systems and making performance and reliability improvements
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make thoughtful technical tradeoffs
Ownership mentality and the ability to take projects from idea through production
Curiosity and an interest in learning new technologies and working on technically challenging problems
Nice to Have
Experience with high-scale or data-intensive systems
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or other infrastructure tooling
Experience with streaming or event-driven systems
Experience working with databases, networking, operating systems, or other systems-level technologies
Experience at a high-growth startup or rapidly evolving engineering organization
Experience working with AI/ML infrastructure or applications
