Job description
WAMC is seeking a Senior Broadcast Transmission Engineer. This position is responsible for the reliable operation, maintenance, and strategic development of the station's broadcast engineering systems. This role oversees on-air transmission ensuring the station meets FCC regulatory requirements as the designated Chief Operator while supporting the organization's mission through dependable, forward-looking technology. Directly supervises board operators, including performance management, and scheduling.
The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of radio frequency (RF) systems, electronics, and IP networking. They must excel at problem-solving under pressure, pay close attention to detail, and communicate well with teams to prevent costly broadcast downtime.
Full-time, on-site.
Starting Salary $68,000
