Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong payments domain knowledge and project and program management skills to support initiatives within a Global Merchant organization. This role works across business, product, technology, and leadership teams to define requirements, coordinate delivery, and keep multiple stakeholders aligned.
Key Responsibilities
Gather and define business requirements with business leaders, product teams, technology teams, and other stakeholders.
Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
Partner with engineering and QA teams to clarify requirements throughout design, development, testing, and implementation.
Facilitate requirements workshops and discussions across business and technology teams.
Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and other Agile ceremonies.
Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams using strong project and program management practices.
Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items; drive follow-ups and decisions to closure.
Prepare status updates and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership.
Support UAT, business validation, implementation readiness, and production rollout.
Required Skills
Business analysis experience in banking, financial services, or payments, with strong knowledge of merchant acquiring, card processing, or transaction processing.
Experience developing detailed Agile user stories and acceptance criteria.
Strong project and program management skills, including coordination across multiple workstreams.
Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional business, product, engineering, and QA teams.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and the software development lifecycle.
Excellent communication, presentation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage priorities and drive delivery in a complex global environment.
Technical Skills
SQL for querying, analyzing, and validating transaction or operational data.
Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
Jira and Confluence for managing user stories, backlogs, documentation, and delivery tracking.
Familiarity with APIs, data flows, system integrations, and JSON to support discussions with engineering teams.
Experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
