Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Senior Business Process Analyst
Location: Remote
Department: Veterans Affairs (VA)
Type: Full Time
Min. Experience: Experienced
Security Clearance Level: Public Trust (MBI)
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Provide expertise on continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, change management projects, and performance measures for basic business process engagements
Define and develop business processes, policies, roles and responsibilities, and performance metrics
Conduct analysis of business processes, including:
Current state analysis
Gap analysis
Benchmarking
Best practices identification
Organizational assessment
Other related tasks
Plan and implement process improvements, including:
Future state design
Change management
Transition planning
Interface with all project areas, including:
Customer
Computer services
Client services
Provide oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance and performance quality
Proven knowledge in Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies and a strong understanding of how to apply both flexible, iterative project management (Agile) and the framework for scaling those principles across a large organization (SAFe)
Experience with the practices of both, specifically in applying them to align strategy, manage large portfolios, and improving collaboration and delivery across multiple teams to achieve business agility and deliver value faster
Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory, and/or governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to ensure compliance
Work with operating entities to provide continuous process analyses oversight to enforce requirements and meet guidelines
Coordinate with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements
Conduct client interviews
Deliver presentations and training courses on measurement, analysis, improvement, and control
Perform cost-benefit analysis
Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet outlined objectives
Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance
Measure whether objectives have been met
Provide technical solutions to a wide variety of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
Independently determine and develop approach to solutions
Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects
Represent organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
Required Skills and Experience
A proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects
Expertise in eliciting and documenting business requirements, business processes, and workflows
Proficiency in creating functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams
Experience with business modeling techniques and tools (e.g., Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN))
Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar
Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile and Waterfall)
Proficiency in project management and tracking tools (e.g., JIRA and Microsoft Project)
An understanding of database concepts and basic querying skills
Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, interpretation, and presenting findings
Proficiency in using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Structured Query Language (SQL), Power Business Intelligence (BI), and Tableau)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
An ability to translate technical information into business language for non-technical stakeholders
Strong presentation skills and experience facilitating workshops and meetings
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
An ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and make decisions based on sound judgment
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
An ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and team members
A demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior analysts and team members
Experience managing and coordinating cross-functional project teams
An ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and tasks effectively
Strong organizational skills and an ability to meet deadlines
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices

Deep hands-on EDIFECS experience in Electronic Data Interchange X.12 (EDI) Transactions Standards involving key X12 workflows involving the following transactions:
X.12 medical claims (837, 834, 835, 277, etc)
270/271 and 278/275 transactions
999 transactions
Experience with FHIR and HL7
Advanced certifications, including:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Six Sigma Certification
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
Formal Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline and twenty (20) years of experience or Master's degree in the previously listed fields and ten (10) years of experience
Citizenship Requirement
U.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunity

Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI)
