Job description
Senior Buyer & Estimator will analyze customer requirements, prints, and models to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
Select appropriate machinery and processes to meet technical and cost objectives.
Develop cycle times, parts-per-hour rates, and labor assumptions using CAD/CAM and estimating tools.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on work holding, fixtures, tooling, and gauging.
Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including tooling, lead times, and pricing for customer quotes
Experience interpreting complex technical drawings, including GD&T in both metric and imperial
Proficiency with CAD tools and file types, including STP and CATIA, with the ability to extract manufacturing data
Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, including CNC machining (3-, 4-, and 5-axis), turning, and automation
Working knowledge of tooling, gauging, and fixture design as part of the estimating process
Skilled in spreadsheets, quoting software, and data analysis tools
