CLERK SENIOR CENTERUnion: Teamsters (Municipal) / Part-Time$20.00 per hour / 19 hours per weekOpen due to VacancyPOSITION SUMMARY:The Clerk works under the supervision of the Program Coordinator in the Senior Center. This position is responsible for maintaining the front desk which includes greeting visitors and residents, collecting money, and responding to phone calls. Provides expedient responses to a wide range of inquiries related to services, programs, and events. Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:Welcome visitors and walk-ins, while maintaining the front desk.Assist with inquiries and concerns related to services, programs, and events.Maintain lists of members, program activities, and program participants; collect money with accuracy; answer all incoming phone calls and respond appropriately.Working knowledge and familiarity of Microsoft Office.Support the Program Coordinator and full-time Clerks with general office tasks.Maintains a working knowledge of the Senior Center.Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Skills, Knowledge & AbilitiesPersonable, energetic, outgoing individual with excellent communication skills and outstanding customer service.Experience in working with seniors, along with good interpersonal skills and cultural awareness, is needed to interact with a diverse cultural community.Possess organizational skills with ability to multitask under pressure in a team environment.Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with staff and the public.Dependability essential, must have excellent punctuality and attendance.Bilingual/Multilingual desired.
