What You’ll Do:

You’ll lead residential and commercial land development projects throughout Northwest Florida and work closely with clients, architects, contractors, consultants, regulatory agencies, and our internal design teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

Lead civil engineering projects from initial planning and design through permitting and construction

Prepare and review civil site plans, calculations, reports, specifications, and other technical documents

Manage site development, grading, drainage, stormwater, utility, roadway, and related civil design

Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations

Coordinate directly with clients, architects, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies

Lead project, client, permitting, and construction meetings

Coordinate permitting efforts and respond to agency review comments

Perform site visits and provide construction-phase support as needed

Review the work of engineers and designers for technical accuracy and completeness

Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff

Assist with project proposals, scopes of work, and fee development

Help improve internal processes and contribute to the continued growth of our Civil Engineering practice

What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications:

Professional Engineer (PE) license

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university

Approximately 4–7+ years of relevant civil engineering experience

Experience with residential and/or commercial land development projects

Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and construction practices

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or applicable civil engineering design software

Ability to prepare, review, and interpret engineering plans, calculations, specifications, reports, and contract documents

Experience coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to successfully manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and deadlines

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

Northwest Florida land development

Stormwater management and drainage design

Site grading and earthwork

Water and wastewater utility design

Roadway and site-access design

Local, state, and regional permitting

Construction administration and field coordination

Project management

Staff supervision and mentoring

Who Will Succeed in This Role?

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical ability with leadership, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach. You’ll likely be a great fit if you:

Take ownership and follow through on commitments

Enjoy solving challenging engineering and project problems

Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

Are comfortable building relationships directly with clients

Can manage multiple projects without losing sight of the details

Enjoy mentoring and developing younger professionals

Work well independently while also supporting the larger team
