nThe Senior RX Clinical Programs Pharmacist integrates programs developed to improve overall health outcomes with a focus on prescription drugs. The Senior RX Clinical Programs Pharmacist work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

nThe Senior RX Clinical Programs Pharmacist oversees medication therapy, strategy on comprehensive medication reviews, and prescription drug optimization in cases where patients are taking multiple medications. Drives health awareness with patients through Rx Education and targeted quarterly campaigns. Places outbound calls to confirm patients are taking drugs and provides counseling. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

nRequired Qualifications

nnnBachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD Degree

n

nnActive pharmacist license in the state(s) in which you are required to practice

n

nnStrong organizational skills and ability to stay on schedule

n

nnProven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

n

nnAbility to work independently and within a team setting to achieve goals and meet deadlines.

n

nnExcellent verbal and written presentation skills with ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

n

nnAbility to take initiative, ability to manage multiple or competing priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment

n

nnComprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint & Excel

n

nnMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

n

n nPreferred Qualifications

nnnPrevious experience with pharmacy benefits management

n

nnPrevious Commercial, Medicare and/or Medicaid experience

n

nn3 or more years clinical experience in managed care

n

nnAbility to manage end-to-end-processes

n

nnUnderstand Humana's business processes, systems, tools, regulations and structure and how they interrelate to provide products and services that create value for Humana members

n

nnPrevious management experience and ability to lead teams

n

nnPrevious program or project management experience

n

nnProven success in leading teams (both direct and indirect) with multiple accountabilities

n

nnExcellent data analysis and experience working with Access, SQL and Excel

n

nnLean, 6 sigma experience and/or certification

n

n nAdditional Information

nWAH requirements:

nnnMust have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

n

nnA minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.

n

nnSatellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

n

nnA dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

nTravel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

nThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

n$115,200 - $158,400 per year

nThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
