Senior Cnc EngineerRosco Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Senior CNC Engineer with deep expertise in programming and optimizing CNC lathes. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional who can develop reliable machining processes, solve complex production challenges, and help improve quality, efficiency, and throughput.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, test, and optimize CNC lathe programs for new and existing components.Program complex turning operations, including multi-axis and live-tool machining where applicable.Select tooling, work holding, cutting parameters, and machining strategies.Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and customer requirements.Lead new-part setup, prove-out, first-piece inspection, and production launch.Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, cycle-time, and quality issues.Improve cycle times, tool life, process capability, and overall equipment effectiveness.Create and maintain setup sheets, tooling lists, work instructions, and program documentation.Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production teams.Mentor CNC programmers, machinists, and setup personnel.Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for machining-related defects.Promote safe work practices and compliance with company quality standards.What Rosco Manufacturing OffersA senior-level role with meaningful ownership of CNC processes.Challenging precision-machining projects.Opportunities to lead process improvements and mentor team members.A collaborative, hands-on manufacturing environment.Competitive compensation and benefits based on experience.RequirementsMinimum five years of CNC programming and manufacturing engineering experience, with significant emphasis on CNC lathes.Advanced knowledge of turning operations, tooling, speeds and feeds, work holding, and process development.Proven ability to program CNC lathes from engineering drawings and solid models.Experience with CAD/CAM software and manual G-code programming.Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement.Experience troubleshooting difficult machining and production problems.Ability to independently manage projects from concept through production.Strong communication, documentation, and team leadership skills.Experience with Swiss-style, multi-axis, dual-spindle, or live-tool lathes is highly desirable.Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement methods is preferred.Qualified candidates should submit a resume highlighting their CNC lathe programming experience, machine and control expertise, CAD/CAM proficiency, and examples of measurable process improvements.
