Senior Companion / CaregiverJFS at Home is seeking compassionate, dependable, and engaging Senior Companions to join our growing team.What distinguishes JFS at Home from other home care agencies is the long history of trust and respect established by Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) throughout the community. For more than 35 years, JFS has provided programs and services guided by integrity, compassion, social responsibility, and humanitarian values.If you enjoy spending time with seniors, creating meaningful connections, participating in activities, and helping older adults remain safe, independent, and happy in their homes, we would love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesProvide companionship and social engagement for seniors in their homesEncourage participation in activities, hobbies, games, walks, and conversationsAssist with mobility both inside and outside the homeAccompany clients to appointments, outings, errands, and community activitiesPlan and prepare meals and provide light assistance with daily routinesAssist with personal care and hygiene as neededComplete shopping errands or accompany clients while shoppingPerform light housekeeping and help maintain a safe living environmentObserve and report changes in a client's condition or unusual incidentsRespond appropriately and responsibly in emergency situationsHelp promote independence, dignity, safety, and overall well-beingQualificationsEnjoy building meaningful relationships with seniorsFriendly, patient, compassionate, and dependablePassion for helping seniors stay engaged, active, and socially connectedAbility to work independently in a one-on-one home settingWillingness to learn and continuously develop care giving skillsAbility to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodationValid driver's license and reliable transportationAutomobile insurance that includes bodily injury liability coveragePrior experience as a Companion in a healthcare setting preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent work experienceSchedule flexible availabilityCommitment to providing exceptional customer service and quality careWhy Join JFS at Home?Rewarding one-on-one client relationshipsFlexible scheduling opportunitiesSupportive and caring team environmentOpportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniorsBe part of a respected nonprofit organization serving the community for more than 35 yearsJFS at Home is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
