Job description
Senior Construction Project Manager / Project Manager – Ground-Up Construction (Commercial GC)
We are partnering with a well-established South Florida commercial general contractor to hire two Project Managers / Senior Project Managers to support continued growth across the region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ground-up commercial or industrial construction and be comfortable taking ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Project Experience:
• Primarily ground-up construction
• Industrial or commercial project backgrounds are both strong fits
• Ability to manage projects from preconstruction and buyout through construction and closeout
• Experience overseeing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, RFIs, submittals and change orders
Work Structure
• Project Managers will spend significant time on their active jobsites
• When not required on-site, they will work from the company's Palm Beach County office
• Candidates should be comfortable splitting their time between South Florida jobsites and the office
Ground-up commercial or industrial experience with a general contractor
• Strong project ownership and accountability
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors and internal teams
• Local South Florida construction experience is a plus
A strong Project Manager with solid tenure and a good ground-up foundation who is ready to learn more, take on greater responsibility and continue developing their career
• An experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering ground-up projects, along with strong tenure and stability throughout their career
This does not necessarily need to be a 15–20+ year construction veteran. The most important factors are ground-up experience, stability, project ownership, aptitude, communication skills and long-term fit.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing South Florida construction company with a strong pipeline of ground-up commercial and industrial projects and a team where people tend to build long-term careers.
