Job OverviewA law firm seeks a Senior Corporate Associate with 6 to 8 years of experience in sophisticated M&A transactions to join their Corporate Practice Group in Chicago, IL. The role involves working with middle-market companies, private equity funds, and entrepreneurs across various industries.
Duties
Manage and execute private company mergers and acquisitions.
Advise on corporate governance and commercial contracts.
Draft and negotiate LLC/shareholder agreements.
Provide general corporate counseling to middle-market companies.
Collaborate with partners and contribute to client success.
Requirements
Extensive knowledge of private equity and sophisticated M&A transactions.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with alternative practice structures is a plus.
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.
Skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong interpersonal and client management skills.
Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
