Senior Counsel - Storm2 (Chicago, IL)
Storm2, a leading fintech, is hiring a Senior Counsel to lead legal strategy for digital asset, blockchain, and payments products.
Key Eligibility Criteria
8+ years of legal experience (in-house or top law firm)
Strong fintech, payments, banking, crypto, or digital assets background
Expertise in financial services regulation, BSA/AML, sanctions, privacy, and consumer finance
Commercially minded with experience supporting innovative products in regulated environments
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
Lead legal advisory on digital asset, blockchain, and payments products
Partner with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Strategy teams on new product launches
Provide guidance on regulatory, consumer protection, privacy, and compliance matters
Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and customer-facing documentation
Monitor regulatory developments and help shape legal frameworks for emerging products
Stipend & Compensation
Base salary: $220,000 - $280,000 per year (paid) with annual bonus, equity opportunity, comprehensive healthcare, and 401(k) benefits.
