Senior Data Platform Architect (AWS) at BairesDev
In this role, you'll own the assessment of an existing data marketplace spanning dozens of pipelines into a Bronze/Silver/Gold S3 and Iceberg lake, plus additional federated datasets exposed through a distributed query engine. Beyond assessment, you'll design the target-state resiliency architecture and build a roadmap with concrete quick-action items. Assess the current-state data platform, including pipelines, lakehouse architecture, and federated data access.
Design target-state resiliency architecture for the data platform.
Build a roadmap with concrete quick-action items for team ramp-up and execution.
Collaborate closely with incumbent architects and consultants on the engagement.
Critically review and correct AI-generated code as part of an AI-assisted SDLC.
What We Are Looking For
8+ years of experience in data architecture with AWS.
Strong expertise in AWS lakehouse architecture, including S3 and Iceberg.
Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg.
Experience with Starburst or Trino.
Proven experience with current-state assessment and roadmap development.
Advanced proficiency in English.
