hackajob has partnered with a global technology and management consultancy, specializing in driving transformation across the financial services and energy industries , and we're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to implement cutting-edge data science solutions, leveraging their expertise to tackle complex business challenges and contribute to development and delivery targets!
Role: Senior Data Scientist
Location: Cary, NC. (Fully on-site position)
Rates: $68 to $55, depending on the type of contract (1099 or W2). This role IS NOT available on a C2C basis.
Work Authorization: This role requires you to be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Qualifications
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related field.
Proven track record of developing and deploying data science solutions that have delivered tangible business impact.
Strong programming skills in Python.
Expertise in cloud computing platforms, with a strong preference for GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, AI Platform). Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) considered.
Responsibilities
Data Science Execution
Deliver data science projects aligned with business objectives.
Plan and implement key data science initiatives promptly.
Implement parts or the entire data science lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model development, deployment, and evaluation.
Technical Expertise
Build and deploy predictive models, recommender systems, and other data-driven solutions.
Communication and Collaboration
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and business stakeholders, to translate business requirements into data science solutions.
Present findings and recommendations to managers.
Innovation and Research
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science and machine learning.
Explore and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to improve effectiveness and drive innovation.
