Job description
Senior Data Scientist, Platform Inference (Contract) - Airbnb, United States
Senior Data Scientist, Platform Inference (Contract) - Airbnb, United States
Employer: Airbnb | Location: United States | Type: Contract
This contract role sits in MarTech Data Science Measurement, the team that empowers marketing decision-making with rigorous measurement and inference.
Platform inference work in a marketing context means building the causal machinery behind budget decisions: incrementality testing, geo experiments, media mix modelling and attribution that survives scrutiny. For a company spending at Airbnb's scale, getting this right or wrong is worth a very large number.
Marketing measurement is one of the most portable specialisms in travel — airlines, OTAs, hotel groups and destinations all face the same problem.
Good fit for: senior data scientists with causal inference and experimentation experience, strong Python or R, and a background in consumer marketing analytics.
