In this role, you'll work with industry-leading MEP teams, vendors, and technology partners to design innovative, high-performance solutions.

Flexible Remote Work – Work from anywhere in the U.S., with a preference for candidates in Atlanta, GA or Phoenix, AZ.

Exciting, Innovative Projects – Shape the future of smart buildings and automation in cutting-edge, high-tech facilities.

Competitive Pay & Career Growth – We recognize talent and offer compensation that exceeds industry standards for top performers.

Responsibilities

Lead BAS & EPMS Design

Serve as the BAS/EPMS subject matter expert for large-scale projects, working closely with clients, engineers, and vendors.

Develop system architectures, control sequences, and design specifications for DDC- and PLC-based systems.

Select and specify instrumentation, sensors, actuators, valves, and network devices for seamless integration.

Collaborate with IT teams on network security, VLANs, and system interface requirements.

Review and refine sequence of operations, system diagrams, and alarm lists to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Oversee Revit/BIM/AutoCAD design production and coordinate with internal and external design teams.

Support Construction & Project Execution

Develop and manage design deliverables across all project phases (SD, DD, IFP, IFC).

Lead design reviews, QA/QC checks, and page-turn sessions with internal and external teams.

Provide technical guidance for construction administration (CA), ensuring seamless execution from design to commissioning.

Project Communication & Leadership

Serve as a key liaison between clients, trade engineers, and technology vendors, ensuring alignment on project goals.

Manage project reporting, documentation, and progress tracking using internal tools.

Effectively balance multiple projects while ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

Mentor & Lead the Team

Supervise and develop a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and mentorship.

Assist in resource planning, project staffing, and hiring efforts to attract top talent.

Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategies.

Preferred Requirements

Experience – 8+ years in BAS/EPMS design, with at least 4 years focused on data center, mission-critical, or high-tech projects.

Technical Expertise – Deep knowledge of DDC, PLC, BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, networking (VLANs, LANs, routers, switches), and IT/OT security best practices.

Industry Knowledge – Strong understanding of data center HVAC controls, energy efficiency strategies, and smart building solutions.

Software Skills – Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).

Education – Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Communication & Leadership – Ability to effectively manage projects, interface with clients, and mentor junior engineers.

Travel

Up to 15% travel for site visits, client meetings, and industry events.
