Overview of The Role
As a Senior Development Engineer - BackEnd Technologies, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. This role requires a strong grasp of software engineering principles, outstanding problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced setting.
It also entails mentoring junior developers to support their development and contribute to overall team success.
Job Responsibilities
Understand the business requirements thoroughly to ensure the developed software aligns with the needs of stakeholders.
Build robust and scalable Java applications from design to deployment and integrate services seamlessly with APIs.
Develop and implement micro-services architecture for modular and maintainable software.
Independently translate requirements into low-level technical designs.
Actively participate in solution analysis meetings and sessions.
Review the code to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Identify and communicate risks and issues, proposing resolutions to project leadership.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop reliable and high-performance backend solutions.
Provide mentorship to the team, help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove roadblocks.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5-8 years of hands-on experience in Java (version 8 or higher), with a deep understanding of Core Java and OOPS concepts.
Proficient in Spring boot, including Spring data, Spring security, Spring MVC, and JPA/Hibernate.
Should have knowledge of project architecture and demonstrate experience in developing and deploying applications based on micro-services architecture.
In-depth knowledge of Design patterns, Multithreading, Data structures, and Algorithms, along with a basic understanding of Low-Level Design (LLD).
Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing robust RESTful APIs.
Solid knowledge of databases, including MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB (advantageous), alongside a good understanding of entity-relationship (ER) modeling concepts.
Experience in conducting code reviews, debugging complex issues, and implementing effective troubleshooting strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Basic understanding of messaging tools like RabbitMQ and Kafka.
Familiarity with cross-functional domains such as FrontEnd and DevOps.
Should have deep understanding of Agile methodology.
Skilled in mentoring and guiding team members to achieve their full potential and drive project success.
Excellent communication skills and possess strong problem-solving skills.
