About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director of HR Operations to lead enterprise HR infrastructure, systems, and total rewards strategy within a fast-paced automotive organization. This leader will be responsible for scaling HR operations, driving transformation, and ensuring operational excellence across a complex and evolving business environment.
This role requires a strong blend of strategic leadership, technical HR expertise, and hands‑on operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and scale HR Operations across the organization with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and scalability
Oversee Total Rewards strategy, including compensation and benefits design and execution
Drive HR systems strategy, including HRIS, payroll systems implementation, optimization, and integration
Lead HR analytics, reporting, and data‑driven decision‑making initiatives
Ensure compliance with internal policies, audits, and all applicable employment regulations
Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategy with business growth objectives
Build, lead, and develop senior‑level HR teams in a high‑performance culture
Champion HR transformation initiatives in a fast‑growing, dynamic environment
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred
Minimum 15+ years of progressive HR experience , with deep subject matter expertise in: Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits)
HR Systems (HRIS, payroll implementation, and optimization)
HR audit, compliance, and operational governance
Minimum 10+ years of HR leadership experience at Director level or above
Proven experience leading HR Operations within fast‑paced, high‑growth, or transformation‑driven environments (automotive or manufacturing strongly preferred)
Demonstrated success scaling HR infrastructure in complex organizations
Strong business acumen with the ability to operate strategically while maintaining hands‑on execution
Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Charlotte, NC metro area
This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days per week in the office , with 1 remote workday permitted
Must be able to work in a collaborative, on‑site leadership environment
