Job description
Senior Director of Product Marketing and Business Development
About Us
At Cognichip, we’re not just building AI, we’re redefining what’s possible at the nexus of silicon design and machine learning. As Sr Director of Product Marketing and Business Development, you will define how the world understands what we’re building—and turn that understanding into pipeline, partnerships, and revenue. You’ll own the narrative that positions Cognichip at the frontier of AI-driven chip design, and you’ll build the commercial relationships that bring our technology to market. If you thrive on translating deep technology into compelling stories and durable business, this is your stage.
What You’ll Do
Own product marketing end-to-end positioning, messaging, and narrative, for a category we are creating at the intersection of AI and semiconductor design
Translate complex, deeply technical capabilities into clear value propositions for engineering leaders, executives, and partners
Build and lead the go-to-market strategy for new products and features, partnering closely with product, engineering, and sales
Drive business development: identify, structure, and close strategic partnerships across foundries, EDA vendors, semiconductor companies, and ecosystem players
Develop the competitive intelligence, analyst relations, and market insights that shape product direction and company strategy
Create sales enablement-content, demos, and tools-that equips the team to win technical, high-consideration deals
Build and mentor a high-performing product marketing and business development function as the company scales
What You Bring
MS/MEng degree required; MBA or business degree preferred
20+ years in product marketing, business development, or a combination, including several years in a leadership role
Track record marketing deeply technical products-semiconductors, EDA, developer tools, infrastructure, or AI/ML platforms
Demonstrated success building and closing strategic partnerships or complex commercial deals
Ability to go deep with engineers and scientists and translate that fluency into market-facing narrative
Experience building go-to-market motions from the ground up in an early-stage or high-growth environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication; you can make hard technology feel inevitable
Comfortable operating with ambiguity in a dynamic, research-heavy AI-oriented startup environment
Bonus Points
Working knowledge of chip design, EDA workflows, or semiconductor supply chains
Existing relationships across the semiconductor or EDA ecosystem
Domain knowledge in AI technologies, infrastructure, and model ecosystem
Experience launching a new product category or defining a new market
A background that blends technical depth (engineering or computer science) with commercial leadership
What It's Like Here
We’re a fast-moving AI startup with a collaborative, high-trust culture. You’ll work with top-tier engineers, scientists, and builders—solving hard problems that sit at the intersection of cloud computing, AI, and chip design. We value technical excellence, ownership, and the freedom to experiment. If you’re excited to build the future of engineering, you’ll feel right at home.
