Job description
The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets seeks a Senior Economist (Milk Marketing) to analyze the dairy industry, milk marketing orders, and agricultural policies to determine economic impacts and costs/benefits. The position serves as Secretary to the New York Dairy Promotion Advisory Board and assists with administrative activities of the Milk Marketing Advisory Board. This is a full-time role based in Albany, NY, working 37.5 hours per week with telecommuting available.

Two years of professional experience performing economic research
Master's or higher degree in a related field can substitute for one year of specialized experience
Current NY State employees may qualify for reassignment with one year of permanent service in this title
