We are seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator with extensive experience to lead electrical project cost estimation. The ideal candidate will specialize in precise electrical takeoffs, vendor quote evaluation, and developing detailed, competitive estimates for electrical construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and construction methods, along with proficiency in estimating software. The estimator will collaborate with project teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of bids, supporting successful project execution.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed electrical takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.
Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and profit margins.
Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes for materials such as lighting, switchgear, and fire alarm systems.
Input and manage estimating data within ConEst or similar software.
Analyze bid requirements and prepare competitive proposals.
Collaborate with internal teams to verify estimate accuracy.
Maintain organized documentation of estimates, quotes, and bid submissions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an electrical estimator or similar role within the electrical construction industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and construction methods. Experience performing electrical takeoffs from drawings.
Proficiency with ConEst or comparable estimating software.
Ability to interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with project management or involvement in project execution.
Familiarity with vendor sourcing and pricing strategies.
Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
