Senior Electrical Systems Engineer, MR System Hardware Integration
Contract to Hire | Onsite
Our client is an innovative MR development team near Boston that is hiring a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to lead electrical integration and RF work on their MR systems. You'll report directly to the Head of MRI Development and work closely with RF, software, systems, and mechanical engineers.
What you'll do
Lead electrical integration and troubleshooting of MR systems, including power cabinet, cabling, and magnet assembly
Integrate, tune, and match RF coils and resolve grounding, shielding, and EMI/EMC issues that affect image quality
Develop system-level verification protocols and support IEC 60601-1 electrical safety compliance
What you'll bring
Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in system integration or medical device development
Hands-on expertise diagnosing ground loops, electrical noise, and signal integrity issues with oscilloscopes, VNAs, and spectrum analyzers
Working knowledge of IEC 60601-1, with MR hardware or RF coil experience a strong plus
