Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Lead development of secure embedded software stack for next-generation DoD systems
Location: Bloomington, Minnesota
Compensation: $149,831 - 159,000 USD / year
About The Role
Senior Staff Software Engineer
As a senior staff software engineer, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the next generation of embedded system security.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 years relevant experience.
Clearance Requirements: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Knowledge of C in embedded environments
Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
Extensive knowledge with network protocols
What sets you apart:
Knowledge of C in embedded environments Bare bone software – no operating system
Memory map interfacing
Communication buses: SPI/QSPI, UART, I2C
JTAG – remote debug
PTP
Experience with developing against/within an FPGA
Polarfire, Versal, Kintex Ultrascale
MBSE/SySML Magic Draw Experience
Software Design as part of an MBSE initiative
Knowledge of GitLab Defining Runners
Knowledge of Code coverage and static code analysis tools: Parasoft/CppCheck
Network Protocols: RSTP, VLAN, PTP, etc Auto Negotiation / Link Training
Anti-Tamper/Security
Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges
Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to secure buy-in on concepts and ideas
Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others

Combined Salary Range: USD $149,831.00 - USD $159,000.00 /Yr.
