Senior Endoscopy TechnicianHampton, VAFirst (Days)We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Endoscopy Technician to join our dynamic team. Our department consists of two dedicated Endoscopy labs performing a wide range of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The Endoscopy Technician plays a critical role in patient care by assisting the proceduralist during complex cases and ensuring the highest standards of infection control through meticulous endoscope reprocessing.EducationHigh School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a Surgical Tech or Endoscopy Tech program Required. Trade SchoolCertified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) or SGNA Associate (GTS) preferredCertification/LicensureRequire Society of Gastroenterology Nurses & Associates (SGNA) Certification None requiredExperienceRequired Endoscopy Experience - 3 yearsStatus: Full-timeScheduled Weekly Hours: (36 )Shift: Full-Time, Days (0700 – 1530) Call: Rotating Call Required (Details to be discussed during interview)This is an excellent opportunity for a technician looking to expand their skill set with advanced GI and Pulmonary procedures in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Clinical Scope & ProceduresOur unit performs a mix of routine diagnostic and advanced interventional procedures, including:Gastrointestinal: Diagnostic EGDs and Colonoscopies, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD), and Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR).Pulmonary: Diagnostic Bronchoscopies, Navigational Bronchoscopy, and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS).Key ResponsibilitiesIntra-Procedural Assistance: Assist physicians and nurses during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
