You’ll work with industrial clients across Texas and the Gulf Coast on challenging remediation, risk assessment, compliance, and waste management projects while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

For the right individual, this position offers a clear path toward increasing technical and operational leadership within our Risk Assessment, Remediation & Waste Program.

As an employee‑owned environmental consulting firm, we believe our future leaders should have the opportunity to build both their careers and the practice they help create.

Manage projects under the Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP) and other applicable state and federal environmental regulations.

Oversee remediation systems, corrective action programs, and spill response projects.

Coordinate directly with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and other regulatory agencies.

Mentor junior consultants by providing technical guidance, project oversight, and professional development.

Strengthen existing client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.

Prepare technical and cost proposals and participate in business development efforts.

Collaborate with leadership to support the continued growth of the Risk Assessment, Remediation & Waste practice.

What We’re Looking For

Working knowledge of: RCRA, TRRP, CERCLA, Louisiana and Texas environmental regulations, and solid and hazardous waste permitting and compliance

Experience serving industrial clients, including petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, energy, refining, transportation, or other industrial facilities.

Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional client service.

Demonstrated success building and maintaining long‑term client relationships.

Leadership experience mentoring junior staff and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain.

Experience with groundwater statistical software such as Sanitas.

Experience with LogPlot, ArcGIS (ESRI), AutoCAD, or similar technical software.

Existing relationships with industrial clients or regulatory agencies in Texas.

Active participation in professional organizations related to environmental consulting.

Experience leading multidisciplinary environmental projects.

Additional Requirements

Ability to travel approximately 25% for client meetings, project work, and field investigations, including occasional overnight travel.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to safely operate a full‑size pickup truck.

Must meet all Drug & Alcohol, Health & Safety, and Security requirements necessary to access client facilities.

Why Join CK?

At CK, you’ll join an employee‑owned environmental consulting firm where technical excellence, collaboration, and long‑term client relationships have been the foundation of our success for more than 45 years.

We’re large enough to tackle complex environmental challenges yet small enough that your ideas, leadership, and contributions make a real impact.
