Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston, Needham, MA and Edison, NJ.
Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of environmental engineering analysis and design tasks related to planning, environmental site investigation (subsurface and hazardous materials), remediation design, and remedial operations
Coordination and presentation of planning & design submissions with clients and environmental regulatory agencies
Perform and manage site investigations to observe and document existing conditions
Supervise the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications, and coordinate with other disciplines as required to deliver quality engineering services
Complete and review planning documents and design calculations; assist in the preparation of bid packages, design drawings and technical specifications
Provide responses and solutions to technical and contractual issues during projects
Utilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small site restorations to large scale new construction
Engage with existing clients to expand our services and pursue new clients to support growth of the environmental business in the region
Assist in the preparation of proposals for environmental consulting services
Attend industry and business development functions as a representative of the firm
Mentor and develop junior engineering staff
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Science
10+ years’ experience in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Consulting
NY PE or PG Preferred
Ability to provide guidance to junior level engineers and scientists
Understanding and application of environmental regulations, hazardous materials handling and disposal requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines

- We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment.
- Compensation: Min: $100k - Max: $140k The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on the individual candidate's qualifications and location.
