Senior ERP Applications Analyst – Workday Supply Chain Management (SCM) Location: Richmond, VA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with mandatory onsite attendance every Tuesday
Contract Duration: 4 months
Schedule: Standard business hours, with flexibility
Education: Associate degree preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday Supply Chain Management (SCM) Analyst for a contract engagement focused on investigating recurring integration failures, identifying root causes, and improving supply chain business processes.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on Workday SCM experience, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to translate technical issues into practical business solutions. This role emphasizes root cause analysis and long-term process improvement rather than routine ticket resolution.
The analyst will work closely with supply chain stakeholders, ERP analysts, business analysts, and integration developers to reduce recurring errors and improve data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze recurring Workday SCM integration failures and identify underlying root causes.
Investigate issues related to supplier data, data quality, integration processes, and business workflows.
Troubleshoot GHX integration failures and inconsistent data transfers into Workday, where applicable.
Evaluate supply chain business processes and recommend sustainable improvements.
Review integration workflows and process documentation to identify gaps and recurring failure points.
Collaborate with supply chain leadership, ERP analysts, business analysts, and integration developers to implement recommended solutions.
Translate business issues into clear technical requirements and actionable recommendations.
Document findings, process improvements, and recommended corrective actions.
Develop or improve operational documentation and support playbooks.
Provide guidance to internal teams on complex integration issues and help reduce recurring support tickets.
Track improvement opportunities and contribute to measurable project outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Workday Supply Chain Management (SCM).
Strong understanding of Workday SCM integrations and integration troubleshooting.
Demonstrated experience performing root cause analysis and investigating recurring system errors.
Knowledge of supply chain processes, including purchasing, inventory management, supplier management, or Procure-to-Pay.
Ability to identify data-quality issues, process gaps, and integration-related failures.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and nontechnical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Availability to attend onsite meetings every Tuesday in Richmond, VA.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare, hospital systems, or healthcare supply chain operations.
Experience with GHX integrations or similar supplier and healthcare supply chain integration platforms.
Workday Pro certification in Inventory Management, Procure-to-Pay, or Strategic Sourcing.
Experience with Workday implementation methodology, post-go-live support, or system enhancements.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Experience documenting business processes, root cause findings, and operational playbooks.
Project Focus
The primary objective is to identify and address recurring Workday SCM integration issues, recommend sustainable corrective actions, improve supply chain processes and data accuracy, and help reduce integration-related support tickets.
The contractor will primarily diagnose issues and recommend solutions. A dedicated integration development team will handle most technical integration changes, although candidates with the ability to implement fixes are a plus.
Additional Information
Initial four-month contract, with potential for additional project work depending on business needs.
Hybrid arrangement with mandatory Tuesday onsite attendance.
This is not a designated contract-to-hire position.
A bachelor's degree and Workday certifications are not mandatory.
