Top ENR firm is looking for a Senior Estimator in Torrington, CT!
Family owned and operated firm, in business over 100 years. They specialize in Largescale Academic, Healthcare, Public/Community & Industrial projects throughout RI & CT.
Headquartered out of CT, second office in RI
Don't hire on a project-to-project basis, very clear they won't hire without ability to keep them on!
They really are looking for people who are eager and excited to be there.
Because of the work and projects that they do their work is recession proof. It was the only industry that flourished during the crash in '08 because they are doing federal funded work.
Job Description
The Estimator is responsible for:
Reporting to VP of Estimating
Leading/preparing project estimates start to finish
Collaborating with junior estimators

The Successful Applicant
The right Estimator has the following qualifications:
7+ years of Estimating experience with a general contractor
B.S degree in engineering or construction management
Detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to organize and manage detailed analysis
Experience with estimating, scheduling and/or project management technology
Have a high degree of competency with Suretrack, Excel and Timberline
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
