Senior Financial AnalystWe are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Global Purchasing Program (GPP). This role sits at the intersection of strategic finance partnership and artificial intelligence — you will serve as the trusted financial advisor to GPP leadership while simultaneously championing an AI-first approach to transform how finance enables and accelerates decisions at global scale. The ideal candidate combines deep business partnering instincts with a passion for leveraging AI/ML to unlock insights, drive efficiency, and elevate the strategic impact of finance within the GPP ecosystem.Key job responsibilities:Finance Business Partnering GPP:Serve as the primary finance partner to Global Purchasing Program leaders — providing strategic financial counsel on investment decisions, cost optimization, vendor economics, and program scalabilityOwn the financial planning cycle for GPP including annual operating plans, long-range forecasts, and quarterly business reviews with a focus on purchasing spend, savings targets, and program ROIDeliver insightful variance analysis, bridge walks, and executive narratives that connect business performance to broader P&L and cash flow outcomesProactively identify financial risks and opportunities within the GPP portfolio — surfacing trade-offs and recommendations to leadershipPartner cross-functionally with vendor managers, in-stock managers, product, and Category teams to ensure financial alignment on initiativesInfluence program prioritization and resource allocation through rigorous financial frameworks and business case developmentSupport due diligence and financial evaluation of new purchasing programs, vendor onboarding, and strategic sourcing initiativesAI-First Finance Transformation:Define the AI Vision for GPP Finance: Develop and execute a roadmap to embed AI/ML capabilities across finance processes supporting the Global Purchasing Program — from spend forecasting and savings tracking to automated vendor financial assessmentsBuild & Deploy AI Solutions: Identify, pilot, and scale AI-powered tools that reduce manual effort and improve decision qualityChampion an AI-First Mindset: Evangelize the use of AI across the GPP finance function; lead training sessions, create playbooks, and establish best practices for AI adoptionAutomate & Optimize: Identify repetitive, low-value tasks within GPP finance workflows and design AI/automation solutions to eliminate them — freeing up capacity for strategic business partneringData Strategy & Governance: Partner with data engineering, global finance solutions, and analytics teams to ensure clean, accessible, and well-governed data pipelines that power AI modelsMeasure AI Impact: Define success metrics for AI initiatives (e.g., forecast accuracy improvement, hours saved, cycle time reduction in financial reviews) and report progress to leadershipBasic Qualifications:3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experienceBachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related fieldPreferred Qualifications:4+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experienceExperience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results, or experience in financial modelingAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
