Fitter/WelderArcosa Traffic Structures is currently hiring for Fitter/Welders for the plant operation in Sumterville, FL. Fitter/Welders position pieces to be welded, complete final welds and/or multi-pass welds, and inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.Arcosa, Inc., headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is a growth-oriented manufacturer of infrastructure-related products and services with leading positions in construction, energy, and transportation markets. We are an AWS and AISC certified fabricator of overhead steel and aluminum sign structures, tolling gantry structures, mono tube sign and signal structures, signal mast arm poles, strain poles, high mast lighting poles, bridge mounts, multi-post beams, sign arms, and all types of miscellaneous steel fabrication. Arcosa Traffic Structures can provide engineer designed structures and state DOT specified designed structures to fit your project requirements.What you'll do:Complete final welds and/or multi-pass weldsPosition pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand toolsInspect completed work for conformance to specificationsFollow all safety rules and practicesMaintain and complete all required recordsMay be involved in safety committees or initiativesOther job duties as assignedWhat you'll need:2+ years of welding experience preferredPass 3G Weld TestFlux Core experienceFollow all safety rules and practicesThe ability to maintain reliable and predictable good attendanceA high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goalEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
