Senior Freight Forwarder, Capital EquipmentTorrance, Nearest Major Market: Los AngelesThe Senior Freight Forwarder will be responsible for executing transportation and logistics projects for DSV's clients. They will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project timelines, budgets, and goals are met, while also providing exceptional customer service. This role requires flexibility and extended availability.Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate the importation or exportation of goods from end to endPrepare and process required documentationMonitor shipments and projects, providing updates to customers 24/7Manage relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may ariseExecute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverablesIdentify and manage project risks and issuesEnsure compliance with regulatory requirementsCommunicate project progress to internal teamsAll other duties as assigned.Educational background / Work experience:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field5+ years of experience in project management or logisticsExperience working in Freight Forwarding is requiredSkills & Competencies:Excellent organizational and time management skillsStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer service orientationAbility to work effectively in a team environmentStrong attention to detailProficiency in mathematical calculationsFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes:Knowledge of air freight logistics within the project space, specialty, or oversized movementsAvailable to travel and work odd hours when neededLanguage skills: Fluent in English (oral and written)Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with CargoWise is preferredAt Will Employment: DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.The expected base pay range is $70,304.00 - $85,560.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.DSV offers a comprehensive benefits program designed to support the health and well-being of employees and their families.
