Job description

Engrain builds map-based tech that’s redefining how real estate works. Our interactive, unit-level maps and powerful data integrations help over 1,000 companies—and 20,000 properties—to make smarter decisions, streamline leasing, and deliver better renter experiences. From prospect to renewal, our products give properties a spatial brain and a visual edge when it comes to property marketing and management. And it’s working: our churn rate is just 5%, and we’ve been putting up double-digit growth numbers every year.

We’re not your typical proptech company. We move fast, we stay curious, and we don’t do stale or corporate fluff. Backed by successful Seed and Series A rounds, we’re entering a phase of serious scale.

Senior Full Stack Engineer , you will have the opportunity to be a part of Engrain’s growth and dynamic environment. You’ll join the product and engineering team and work on our industry-leading SightMap and Asset Intelligence products. You’ll build new features and maintain current ones, while designing scalable AI-enabled processes and evaluating AI performance to keep our tech stack forward-thinking.

What you'll do...

Software Development and Architecture:

Develop and maintain reliable features for our industry-leading SightMap & Asset Intelligence products, adhering to best practices in agile development.

Integrate AI-powered tools into daily workflows to increase output quality and speed.

Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation, debugging, and code quality improvements.

Critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, brand alignment, and technical integrity.

Translate complex business requirements into high-performance, efficient, and dependable software solutions by collaborating with UX and Product Management teams.

Design and build robust APIs, advocating for an API-first approach to ensure scalable and interoperable systems.

Provide constructive feedback on pull requests to improve code quality, applying a consistent human-in-the-loop approach to AI-assisted code.

Leverage and integrate valuable data sources to create powerful features that meet customer needs while maintaining human accountability for all final deliverables.

Mentorship and Process Improvement:

Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.

Contribute to process enhancements and new initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to operational excellence.

DevOps and Infrastructure:

Operate within a DevOps culture, showing a willingness to learn and apply new methodologies related to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

Ensure responsible AI usage when working with sensitive company or infrastructure data.

Requirements

What you offer us...

Core Technical Skills:

5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Familiarity with server deployments, server environments, and AI-assisted engineering environments.

Professional and Communication Skills:

Understanding that AI outputs must be validated, tested, and monitored like any other production system.

Strong understanding of privacy, ethics, and governance considerations in AI-enabled operations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
