Senior HW/SW Integration EngineerLocation: Onsite – US Huntsville, ALCompensation: $123,600 - $164,800 + Bonus EligibleSecurity Clearance: Active Secret Clearance RequiredThis position requires full time onsite in Huntsville, Alabama.Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a Senior HW/SW Integration Engineer Lead who is ready to work with a talented team to provide innovative solutions for tomorrow's problems. This position requires a software engineer to use a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will work independently at times on projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other software engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams.Selected applicants will be subjected to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and must maintain eligibility for continued access to classified information throughout their employment as required by the job.Thompson Software Solutions LLC. is a subsidiary of Lynx. If you're a self-driven leader ready to shape the future of secure, high-assurance systems, we want to hear from you.Main Responsibilities:Lead (HW/SW) Hardware / Software Subsystem integration activities at the Holistic (MSV) Main Subsystem Vehicle or (KV) Key Vehicle level.Coordinate across various SW/HW teams to ensure vehicle functions are as intended.This includes FPGA, Flight Software, Test SW, EGSE, STE, and Simulation.Wherever HW touches, SW is within purview and a potential area for integration activities.The expectation of this role will have authority to delegate tasks to the appropriate SEIT, Avionics, Firmware, Software, EGSE, STE, Testbed, and Test POCs.Drive completion of any unresolved system level HW/SW interfaces and/or changes related to ERB.Drive completion of subsystem level interface documents/models.Support relevant interface documentation reviews which include internal, SDRL, and CDRL.Focus on test labs and hands on successful integration and V&V activities from a holistic perspective.Hardware fidelity pedigreeSim model V&V, hardware simulation functions adequatelyDrive progress and solve deficiencies when foundBasic Requirements:Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline or related experience.5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong focus on systems-level development testing and integration.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-impact solutions.Experience with I&T integration and test.Experience developing and executing system-level and HIL test proceduresStrong understanding of requirements verification and validation processesExperience troubleshooting integrated HW/SW systems in a lab environmentAbility to professionally communicate project status and collaborate on technical solutions with clients and peersActive Secret Clearance RequiredAbility to work onsite 100%Ability to Travel up to 25%Preferred / Additional SkillsProficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.)Experience leading technical projects or mentoring junior engineers.Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).Familiarity with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (Cameo, AADL)Experience with Signal Processing ImplementationExperience communicating and documenting complex technical designsAbility to work in a collaborative and team-based environmentExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsSound Exciting?
