nBoutique NYC Architectural and Interior Design Firm specializing in corporate / workplace interiors seeking senior level architect / designer to join our team
nCandidates should have a professional degree in architecture from an accredited program and 10 years experience in commercial design, exhibit strong design and organizational skills, and be able to contribute to a fast-paced, creative office.
nPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
nProject Lead / Project Manager for all phases (schematic design through construction administration) of small, medium, and large-scale corporate projects;
nCoordinating with clients, consultants, and design principals
nDesign and presentation drawings;
nConstruction detailing and drawings;
nConstruction observation and administration;
nManage and oversee junior architects and designers
nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
nKnowledge of workplace strategies
nKnowledge of IBC Building Codes | ADA
nPrepare and review of construction documents
nLead & Manage Junior Architects
nSpace Planning / Test Fitting
nCoordination of permit process
nConstruction administration, including meeting with contractors, clients, consultants, etc
nFile and track all incoming documentation from other consultants
nQUALIFICATIONS:
nBachelor’s degree in Architecture;
n10 + years of experience in commercial architecture
nRegistered Architect a plus however not required
nDemonstrated knowledge of the design process, products, materials and construction details
nKnowledge of project constructability, project costs, and building code requirements
nProficiency in AutoCAD , Adobe Photoshop & Indesign, and SketchUp and/or Revit
nLocated in New York City, and ability to travel outside of the New York area on a regular basis
