Job description

ZGF is seeking a bright and driven Senior Interior Technical Designer with a passion for design excellence to join our team in Seattle, Washington. nAs a Senior Interior Technical Designer, you will…

nnnPossess a knowledge of all aspects of interior design, including programming, space planning, color and material research, FF&E, and lighting design.

n

nnCollaborate with and manage teams to generate, develop, and deliver quality design projects with a focus on the interior built environment.

n

nnManage and mentor team members from concept design through construction administration.

n

nnManage the technical design process and documentation and supervise workflow of design staff.

n

nnDevelop creative technical solutions for constructability and to meet project challenges

n

nnDetail and execute construction documents with minimal supervision.

n

nnMaintain and foster relationships with clients and consultants with sensitivity to project fees, budgets, schedules.

n

nnAdvocate for an inclusive, supportive work culture through listening, learning, and actions.

n

n nQualifications:

nnnA bachelor or higher degree in Interior Design or Architecture and a minimum of 15+ years of experience in the field. NCIDQ or AIA preferred.

n

nnExperience managing complex clients with multiple stakeholders.

n

nnWell-rounded, strategic thinker with an integrated approach to design and technical project resolution. 

n

nnProven track record of success managing complex multi-phased higher education, federal, healthcare, lab, commercial development, and/or workplace interior architecture projects. 

n

nnDeep understanding of building, zoning, energy codes, ADA, construction standards, and other regulatory requirements. 

n

nnExperience in Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, and other forms of project delivery. 

n

nnWell-rounded, strategic thinker with an integrated approach to design, management, and technical project resolution.

n

nnStrong skills in Revit and design technology tools.

n

nnExperience in large and small-scale projects across a diversity of industries.

n

nnStrong verbal and graphic communication skills.

n

nnDemonstrated competency in programming is a plus.

n

nnLEED, WELL or FITWEL accreditation is a plus.

nBase Salary Range

n$122,000/yr - $142,00/yr
