nRESPONSIBILITIES:
nnnLeads a team of auditors to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the company’s internal controls and determines compliance with company policies and procedures as well as legal and regulatory requirements through the completion of financial, operational, and compliance audits conducted at all levels and locations of the company’s business.

nnManages the audit, including the audit preparation and scope, assigning resources and work assignments, providing audit team supervision on-site, coordinating the audit exit meeting, and preparing the Audit Report.
n
nnWorks closely with external auditors regarding SOX, Interim and Year-end testing that is performed by the Internal Audit Department for the benefit of management and our external auditors.
n
nnTrains and develops audit staff, including Internal Auditors, Associate Internal Auditors, Staff Accountants, and Interns assigned to the Internal Audit team.
n
nnDevelops and modifies audit programs and procedures to assure audit techniques are applied in an effective and efficient manner.
n
nnCompletes control testing of our internal controls and processes in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 legislation.
n
nnAssists Assistant Director - Internal Audit in risk assessment, audit planning, fraud investigations, as well as special projects as requested by management.
n
n nQUALIFICATIONS:
nRequired
nnnA bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
n
nn4+ years of audit experience.
n
nnA professional audit/finance certification (CMA, CPA, CIA, etc.)
n
nnAbility to lead, manage, and deliver multiple projects on time and within budget.
n
nnAbility to assess the design and control effectiveness of controls and processes.
n
nnA pattern of initiative and leadership.
n
nnStrong analytical, problem solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
n
nnAbility to think critically and be agile in a fast-paced environment and risk landscape.
n
nnExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
n
nnStrong computer skills.
n
nnMust be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
n
nnApplicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.
n
n nPreferred
nnnOperational accounting or finance experience.
n
nnWorking knowledge of Oracle and QAD systems.
n
nnFamiliarity with Tableau.
n
n nLOCATION: Austin, MN – a comprehensive relocation package will be provided if not already in the vicinity.
nTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel may be necessary 20% of the time.
nPay Range & Benefits:
nAt Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $98,100 - $137,300 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will ,depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
