Job description
Senior Kafka Engineer -- Java/Spring Boot
Location: NYC, NY or Charlotte, NC -- Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Requirements:
12 years of software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka .
5 yearsof experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures .
Strong experience with Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, microservices, and REST APIs .
Experience with Databricks and/or Azure .
Strong knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, scalability, and high availability.
Experience with Capital Markets, Trading, Investment Banking, or Financial Services is highly preferred.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud-native environments is a plus.
Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
