Our key client based in the DC Metro area (MD side) is looking for a Senior Surveyor who wants to lead people, manage projects, and grow within a strong and supportive firm. This role offers the chance to work on meaningful projects while mentoring others and building long-term client relationships. About the Firm

What You Will Do
Lead survey teams in the field and in the office
Manage projects from start to finish
Work with clients, engineers, and designers
Help train and guide younger staff
Make sure projects are accurate, on time, and on budget
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage all parts of survey projects
Supervise field crews and office technicians
Review boundary, ALTA, topographic, and construction surveys
Work closely with engineering teams on shared projects
Track budgets, schedules, and quality control
Check plats, legal descriptions, and right-of-way documents
Serve as main contact for clients on survey work
Help bring in new technology and better work methods
Qualifications
Degree in surveying, geomatics, or related field (or similar experience)
At least 5 years of land surveying experience
Maryland PLS license preferred (LSIT also considered)
Experience leading teams and managing projects
Skills in Civil 3D, Microstation, Carlson, or similar software
Strong communication and client skills
Able to balance technical work with business goals
