Senior-Level FabricatorHeadquartered in Orange, CA, BAPKO Metal Inc. is one of California's most reputable and trusted self-performing contractors specializing in structural steel, miscellaneous steel, architectural metals, and stairs. Our quality craftsmanship can be found in the steel structures supporting a diverse range of projects, and in the architectural details enhancing commercial, healthcare, and educational facilities across California.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To The Following:Weld smaller components (e.g. base plates, stiffener plates, cap plates, fillet welds, railings)Grinding and cleaning weldsReplace wire in welding machinesOut of position welding (horizontal and vertical)Weld larger assembliesRead WPS and set machine accordinglyWeld larger frames, including CJP weldsRead prints and understand what welds are required per shop drawingsFollow all Safety RulesPreferred Education, Experience And Other Requirements:Must be proficient in use of carbon arcMinimum 3+ years of experience in weldingMust be certified unlimited in GMAW, FCAW or FCAW-G, and SMAW.Must be certified to weld rebarMust be certified to operate the overhead and/or jib crane and/or forkliftHS Diploma/GED preferredAvailability to work overtime as neededMust be able to lift 40 poundsMust be able to stand, twist, reach, and move around for long periods of timeMust know how to operate a grinderBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement planVision insurance2nd shift position: Monday - Friday, 1:30pm - 10:30pmJoin our team as a Senior-Level Fabricator where your expertise will contribute significantly to the success of our projects!BAPKO Metal, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
