Job description
Apply deep machining, construction, drilling, mining, or fire safety expertise to a remote technical project focused on interpreting complex drawings, plans, and field documentation. Your real-world judgment will help improve how advanced AI systems understand technical concepts, evaluate practical scenarios, and reason about field execution. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities Review advanced machining drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications, providing detailed feedback grounded in real-world shop experience.
Analyze CNC setup and programming documentation, including best practices and common troubleshooting considerations.
Evaluate construction plan sheets for potential issues, missing information, and opportunities to improve clarity based on practical field experience.
Interpret drilling and mine plans and assess their accuracy, feasibility, and relevant regulatory considerations.
Review fire and building plans using applicable US codes and standards, with attention to safety and compliance.
Produce precise written and verbal explanations of technical concepts, field implementation, and drawing interpretation.
Contribute domain-specific knowledge so project outputs reflect authentic industry practices.
Qualifications Preferred 10 or more years of experience as a master machinist, construction superintendent, drilling engineer, mine planner, cabinetmaker, or fire officer.
Strong experience interpreting technical drawings and field plans.
Comprehensive understanding of applicable US construction, fire, or mining codes and standards.
Expertise in CNC programming, machining processes, and GD&T application.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex shop or field scenarios and explain them clearly in written and verbal formats.
Experience reviewing fire and building plans with a focus on safety and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work independently in a remote project environment while producing accurate, detail-oriented work.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clear, concise knowledge transfer and guidance.

Compensation Hourly compensation ranges from $55 to $100.
