Job description
Senior Manager, Global Procurement - Research Services
Senior Category Manager responsible for supporting the definition and implementation of the global research and pre-clinical service category strategy. The role targets Contract Development Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs) that support small batch non-GMP manufacturing services, purification services, chemistry services, and viral clearance. Periodically, you may be asked to support pre-clinical services related to PK/PD and toxicology, bioanalytical services, and research model services.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with partners in Discovery Research through pre-Clinical Development.
Lead negotiations and complex contracts/contracting, supplier management activities, and partner engagement activities.
Drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.
Participate in organizational decisions with critical short and long-term impact on success, efficiency, growth, and results.
Demonstrate knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes to support the growth and evolution of Global Procurement and drive improvements.
Manage category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable.
Negotiate contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with Regeneron priorities and business requirements.
Use data to drive decision-making for successful category projects.
Coach proficiency on procurement technical skills among the global procurement team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus progressive experience in pharmaceutical procurement.
Experience managing category processes, including strategy development and execution.
Experience establishing and driving Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs and governance models.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in research and pre-clinical service categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, and contracting.
Experience with external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement.
Working knowledge of sourcing contracting tools, ERPs, and eRFx systems (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, etc.).
Additional Information: Supporting global supply market evaluation processes using market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools. Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERPs, and eRFx systems (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other).
Salary Range (annual): $132,400.00 - $216,000.00
