Senior Manager of Capital Projects (Multifamily)
Location: Long Beach, CA - Corporate Office + Regional Travel
Compensation: $115,000 – $145,000
Position Summary
The Senior Manager of Capital Projects oversees planning, execution, and delivery of major capital improvements across a multifamily portfolio. This role ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards and municipal codes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop long-term capital expenditure plans and annual CapEx budgets
Conduct physical asset condition assessments across residential properties
Manage full lifecycle of renovation and construction projects
Coordinate with maintenance managers, engineers, architects, and contractors
Oversee job site activities, inspections, and OSHA compliance
Administer RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
Resolve field construction issues and ensure craftsmanship standards
Secure permits, entitlements, and final sign-offs with local agencies
Track project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
7+ years of multifamily construction or renovation experience
Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Buildertrend)
PMP, CCM, or General Contractor License preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and project-management skills
