Senior Manager Surgical Services RN- SURGERYThis position is Full Time and will work 8-hour Day shifts.Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro, awarded the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Gold Plus Achievement Award, is recognized for its exceptional stroke care. Additionally, our Rehab Center is nationally ranked by UDSMR and accredited by CARF for outstanding rehabilitation programs.Directs clinical and support services staff. Functions as a member of the administrative management team in all aspects of Surgery and Perianesthesia management.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large clinical teams with a span of control of 50+ caregivers and demonstrated expertise in perioperative operations, including block scheduling, staffing, productivity management, and on-call coverage. This leader will partner closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient care, operational excellence, and caregiver engagement.Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they're invaluable. Your voice matters here, because we know that to inspire and retain the best people, we must empower them.Required Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.Bachelor's Degree Nursing OrUpon hire: California Registered Nurse LicenseUpon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association5 years of progressively responsible healthcare leadership experience.3 years of leadership or management experience in perioperative or procedural services.Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree NursingUpon hire: National CertificationExperience with Magnet OrganizationExperience leading OR, PACU, and procedural areas; GI Lab and Pre-Admission Testing experience preferred.Strong knowledge of block scheduling, workforce planning, on-call management, budgeting, and productivity metrics.Exceptional communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills.Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, develop, and retain high-performing teams.Creative problem solver with a focus on innovation, patient experience, quality outcomes, and operational efficiency.Passion for staff recognition, professional development, and building a positive workplace culture.Why Join Providence?Our best-in-class benefits are uniquely designed to support you and your family in staying well, growing professionally, and achieving financial security.
