Job description

WHY JOIN ALO?

Mindful movement. It’s at the core of why we do what we do at ALO—it’s our calling. Because mindful movement in the studio leads to better living. It changes who yogis are off the mat, making their lives and their communities better. That’s the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.

OVERVIEW:

The Sr. Manager, Production Control owns production planning strategy and execution across all distribution centers in the Alo Yoga network. This role is responsible for establishing consistent planning methodologies, standards, and best practices while leading site-level Production Planning Managers to drive operational consistency, throughput optimization, and service level performance.

This is a highly strategic and operational role requiring expert knowledge of production planning, warehouse operations, demand forecasting, WMS systems, and supply chain analytics. The role demands strong leadership capability, financial acumen, and the ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple distribution centers and functional partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Network Planning Strategy & Standardization

Develop and maintain network-wide production planning methodology, standards, and decision-making frameworks.

Establish consistent wave planning protocols, order prioritization rules, capacity thresholds, and production-control metrics across all sites.

Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, and methods; lead the evaluation and implementation of planning software or system enhancements.

Team Leadership & Development

Recruit, develop, and coach four site-level Production Planning Managers; set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.

Establish career development plans; identify high-potential talent and provide mentorship and advancement opportunities.

Foster knowledge sharing, best-practice adoption, and organizational learning across the production planning team.

Stakeholder Alignment & Planning Integration

Partner with Operations, Industrial Engineering, Finance, and other departments on network capacity roadmap, labor budgets, service level targets, and strategic initiatives.

Escalate cross-site constraints, risks, and opportunities; lead planning to support company growth, seasonal demands, and new business initiatives.

Maintain alignment between Production Planning and WMS, Capacity Planning, Labor Planning, and network Operations to ensure integrated execution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business, Analytics, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.

8+ years of experience in production planning, warehouse operations, supply chain logistics, or related function, with at least 3 years managing teams or leading cross-functional initiatives.

Proven track record optimizing labor, throughput, and service levels in high-volume or multi-site warehouse environments.

Expert-level knowledge of WMS wave management, order management systems, labor planning workflows, and production planning concepts.

Strong analytical, forecasting, and financial acumen; ability to translate data into actionable plans and business cases.

Demonstrated ability to lead and coach high-performing teams; strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency with Excel, BI/reporting tools, WMS reporting, and operational data analysis.

Ability to make decisions quickly in a high-volume, rapidly changing operating environment.

Experience in DTC/e-commerce or apparel/footwear fulfillment operations preferred.
