Job description
Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Staff Equipment and Automation Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of automated production systems for diagnostics and medical products. In this role, you will own full lifecycle equipment projects—from requirements and concept development through installation, validation, and continuous improvement—ensuring reliability, compliance, and throughput in a regulated (FDA/ISO) environment. You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and R&D to introduce new technologies, drive root cause analysis, reduce downtime, and standardize best practices across sites while mentoring junior engineers.
