Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Southern California | Full-Time

Ready to lead manufacturing innovation in a high-precision engineering environment?

We're partnering with a medical device manufacturer seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvement, automation initiatives, and manufacturing excellence. This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to influence production strategy, lead cross-functional projects, and mentor engineering talent.

Key Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing process development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Drive automation and operational efficiency projects from concept through implementation.

Analyze and optimize workflows, equipment layouts, and production methods.

Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges.

Support new product introductions and process validation activities.

Conduct technical reviews and present recommendations to leadership.

Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.

Champion lean manufacturing and quality-driven improvements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.

Strong background in process development, automation, and project management.

Experience within highly regulated or precision manufacturing industries such as medical devices, aerospace, defense, or similar sectors.

Hands‑on experience with machining, metal fabrication, tooling, fixtures, or plastics manufacturing.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and perform technical problem‑solving.

Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or AS9100 is highly desirable.

SolidWorks or other 3D CAD experience preferred.
