Senior Mechanical Assemblerat Mercury Systems in Phoenix, Arizona, United StatesJob SummaryMercury Systems is seeking the best and brightest talent to help us bring cutting-edge technology to mission-critical aerospace and defense applications, advancing innovation where it matters most. The Senior Mechanical Assembler will perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronics and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.Job ResponsibilitiesInstall, assemble and inspect electronic components per documented work instructions.Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.Demonstrate professionalism, leadership and initiatives on a daily basis.Perform a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards.Perform pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.Disassemble and re-assemble, modify, rework assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsTypically requires 3+ years of mechanical assembly experienceMust have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityKnowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) proceduresMust be detail oriented and able to multitaskExcellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and writtenMust be able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet production and customer needsHigh School Diploma or GEDTargeted start date: October 2026Preferred QualificationsElectronics assembly and inspection experienceKnowledgeable of 5S/6SNew Process Introduction experience highly preferredExperience with set up and training a team from scratchSoldering under microscopeIPC -610/620 and JSTD 001 experienceCollege degreePhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
