As a Senior Design Engineer you will be responsible for;
Leading the design and development of mechanical systems, structural hardware, and mechanisms from early concept through production readiness.
Creating innovative engineering solutions that meet customer requirements, performance objectives, and environmental constraints.
Performing engineering calculations, trade studies, tolerance analyses, and evaluations to support design decisions.
Supporting multiple development programs simultaneously while maintaining quality, schedule, and technical objectives.
Reviewing and validating engineering analyses, calculations, and design outputs to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
Generating complete design packages including bills of materials, assembly drawings, and release documentation.
Collaborating with manufacturing, quality, systems, and test engineering teams to transition designs into production and qualification.
Providing technical support for prototype builds, hardware integration activities, development testing, and qualification efforts.
Serving as a technical mentor to junior engineers and contributing to the growth of engineering best practices.
Applying sound engineering judgment to solve complex technical challenges in high-performance aerospace and defense applications.
Qualifications;
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
6+ years of experience designing aerospace, defense, or other highly engineered products and systems.
Demonstrated success developing hardware that has progressed through testing, qualification, and implementation.
Strong mechanical design background with expertise in engineering drawing standards and design best practices.
Proficiency with SolidWorks and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience utilizing CAD and CAE tools to support product development and engineering analyses.
Strong understanding of mechanics, material behavior, stress analysis, and engineering fundamentals.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, requirements, and engineering documentation.
Experience creating and managing bills of materials, detailed drawings, and product definition packages.
Working knowledge of military, aerospace, or commercial engineering specifications and standards.
Salary Range: $135,000 - $165,000
Location: Onsite in Mukilteo, WA
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
