Job description
Senior Medical Device AssemblerWe're looking for an experienced Senior Medical Device Assembler to support the assembly, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and documentation of implantable and other advanced medical device components in a regulated laboratory and cleanroom environment.This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys precision work, solving challenges, collaborating with engineers, and helping bring innovative medical technologies from development into production.What you'll do:Perform complex assembly, soldering, rework, welding, bonding, and inspection activities on medical device componentsBuild prototype, development, verification, validation, clinical, and production devicesOperate testing equipment and perform electrical, mechanical, and visual inspectionsTroubleshoot product and process issues using technical documentation and approved proceduresRead and interpret drawings, schematics, work instructions, and specificationsComplete manufacturing documentation, inspection records, and Device History Records (DHRs)Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to improve manufacturability, quality, and efficiencySupport continuous improvement initiatives and provide design-for-manufacturing feedbackMentor and cross-train team members while promoting quality and compliance standardsSupport equipment readiness, calibration activities, inventory coordination, and laboratory organizationWhat we're looking for:High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred7+ years of precision manufacturing experience, preferably in medical devices or another regulated industryExpert-level soldering, assembly, and rework skillsExperience performing assembly and inspection under microscopesExperience handling ESD-sensitive componentsAbility to read technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and manufacturing documentationStrong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and attention-to-detail skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively across teamsPreferred qualifications:IPC certificationExperience with welding, brazing, potting, encapsulation, or specialty adhesivesExperience supporting process validation activitiesExperience participating in NCR investigations and corrective actionsExperience training or mentoring othersExperience working in cleanroom environmentsWhy you'll love this role:You'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge medical technologies, collaborate with talented cross-functional teams, and contribute directly to products that can improve patients' lives.
